About Chef Rickey

Chef Rickey McCreight was destined to work with food from birth.  He grew up with a great-grandmother and grandmother that had worked and ran restaurants since they were young.  His favorite dish was his great-grandmother Lou’s award winning seafood gumbo.

After five years serving his country in the United States Army, Chef Rickey moved to the Ukraine with is wife where he explored the cultural wonders of Europe.  It was there that he grew in appreciation for the culinary heritage of the people.  Whether is was eating homemade paella in Spain, a stuffed Dutch pannekoeken in Amsterdam, or freshly made pasta in Rome, Chef Rickey found that is was through food that people told the story of their culture and life.

He returned to the United States with a passion to learn and work with food.  He attended the Art Institute and graduated at the top of his class with an Associates of Science in Culinary Arts.  Since then he has had the privilege to work with many great chefs working in the fields of Italian, Mediterranean, and Mexican cuisines, and worked with the Denver Broncos during their 2009 season.

While working in the restaurant industry, Chef Rickey always missed the personal touch of the home cooked meals he so cherished in Europe.  He is now sharing the same passion his great-grandmother Lou shared so many years ago by preparing meals for others.

Chef Rickey is a proud member of the United States Personal Chef Association.
